Obviously a lot of reviewers have not eaten good fish and chips! First of all the fish is a lower value fishy tasting substitute called haddock. As the fish and chips from the English and in Ontario also they use the better fish Halibut! Much flakier and light with a mild taste. Yes it is more expensive but still available and I have paid the same amount they charge here. They tend to price the fish and chips as if it was Halibut. The batter is hard not crispy and doesn't taste like the beer battered ones. The Restaurant has a very nice ambiance, service is excellent, price a little expensive for the type of fish. Has a great patio and cause there are not any others it's the only place.

DELICIOU FISH AND CHIPS!!!

For fish and chip lovers, this is the place! The menu is limited, which makes their specialty quite refined. It's the perfect place to stop at when driving down the Richelieu on a Saturday afternoon. In fact, it's my plan for today!

Captaine Pouf is a well kept secret place, wonderful food, their speciality is of course fish & chips, probably the best fish & chips in Montreal area. The service is outstanding you feel like home.

For fish & chips like you will find only in Great Britain...nothing less....quality of food is outstanding fresh cod for the fish
